In an interview with the New York Times two years ago, the creator of AI Dr Geoffrey Hinton gave a clear warning about the future of AI. According to him the technology is brilliant but the bad influential people will use it for ugly things. And it is going to get hard to avoid it.
Hello, we can all say that Dr Hinton was the first one who helped in building the very foundation of all the generative AI and neural networks that we are using on the virtual level. He is consistently working for the betterment of AI. But he also thinks that the fast growing age of AI is going to put the creators as well as the audience through dangerous outcomes.
In a recent interview with CBS news the Doctor Who won a Nobel prize is already worried that the robot which he made to work similarly to a human brain will get here in 10 years. And the fast and rapid growth that it is getting, as well as its usage among users of all the positives and negatives is making him worried immensely.
Now that AI is increasing its capability and developmental benefits faster than the chips on a transistor. Which doubles every 18 months according to Moore’s law. We can safely say that AI is also getting double in capacity every 6 to 12 months of the year.
There is a high chance of AI’s capabilities increasing into something way bigger than it already is. Which means that AI is going to take over the world.
Because AI has a risk factor to humans. Although AI is benefiting humans in so many aspects such as medicine education science whether in every aspect AI is surpassing humans. Those days are long gone when a human was thinking from his mind. Right now he is taking help from artificial intelligence in every aspect of his life. This is what is nerve wrecking.
Because we have now achieved so much in this game that we do not know where we will stop. Maybe those days are not far when AI will become so intelligent that it will start to think and act way better than humans or way worse than humans.
This is a controversial topic. It includes the positive aspects as well as negative aspects of AI. If AI has started to work more intelligently than humans than the real question arises is when does it start to do so?
We do not have any idea where this approach is going to end. Right now we can only do good by using AI properly. But we cannot stop it from going to the bad hands. Which will perform poor decisions from the guidance of it.
